A Midday Prayer to Pause and Reset
Lord, it's the middle of the day, and I'm stopping — just for a minute — to remember You.
The morning is spent. Some of it went well; some of it didn't. I leave both with You.
For the hours that remain, renew my strength and sweeten my attitude. Give me a second wind, and a second grace.
Whatever the afternoon holds, hold me.
In Jesus' name, Amen.
When to Pray This
Pray this at lunch, between meetings, or in the car — anywhere you can steal sixty seconds. A midday pause is an old, old practice; it splits the day in two and gives God both halves.
A Verse to Hold On To
"Evening, and morning, and at noon, will I pray, and cry aloud: and he shall hear my voice." — Psalm 55:17 (KJV)
