A Prayer Before Worship

Lord, I am here. Quiet everything in me that is still somewhere else — the argument from yesterday, the list for tomorrow, the phone in my pocket.

Open my ears to hear You, my mouth to sing to You, and my heart to be changed by You. I did not come to watch a service. I came to meet with You.

Speak, Lord. I am listening.

When to Pray This

Pray this in the parking lot before you walk in, or silently in your seat while the room fills up. It is short on purpose — one honest minute is enough to arrive.
