A Palm Sunday Prayer

Lord Jesus, today we join the crowd at the gates and cry out with them: Hosanna! Blessed is He who comes in the name of the Lord.

You came humbly, on a donkey — a King unlike any other king. Come into our city, our home, our hearts, the same way today.

Keep our praise from fading by Friday. Make us people whose welcome lasts, who follow You not just in the parade but all the way through the week ahead.

Hosanna in the highest! In Your name we pray, Amen.

When to Pray This

Pray this on Palm Sunday morning, before church or around the breakfast table, as Holy Week begins. Children especially love joining in on the "Hosanna."
