A Prayer Before My Wedding Day

Lord, it's here. The day is actually here.

Quiet my nerves and clear my head. If small things go wrong today — and they might — keep me laughing instead of fretting, because none of them are the point.

The point is standing across from the person I love and meaning every word I say. Help me be fully there for it: not managing, not performing — just present.

Thank You for bringing us to this morning. Now walk me down every step of this day, and into all the days after it.

Pray this the morning of your wedding — before the hair and the ties and the timeline take over. Many brides and grooms pray it alone in the first quiet minutes after waking, or with a parent before leaving for the venue.
