An Intercessory Prayer for the Lost and Hurting
Lord Jesus, You said You came to seek and to save that which was lost. So I bring You the lost and the hurting today.
I pray for the ones who have wandered from You — some angry, some ashamed, some simply worn down by life. Go after them, Good Shepherd. Leave the ninety-nine and find the one.
I pray for the ones who are hurting tonight — the heartbroken, the grieving, the ones lying awake with worry, the ones who have stopped hoping that anything will change. Be near to them in the dark. Send someone to sit with them. Let them feel, even for a moment, that they are not alone.
I pray for the names I carry in my own heart. You know who they are. Soften what has grown hard. Heal what has been broken. Open doors that no one else can open.
And keep my own heart tender, Lord — quick to notice, slow to judge, ready to love the way You love.
In Jesus' name, Amen.
When to Pray This
Pray this when someone you love is far from God, or when the hurting of the world feels too big to carry. You don't have to fix anyone — your job is only to bring them to the One who can.
