A Prayer for Fresh Starts

Lord, I want to begin again.

Take the failures I keep replaying and the old names I keep calling myself, and let me leave them behind — not hidden, but forgiven.

You make all things new. Make something new in me. Give me a fresh start that isn't just a new date on the calendar, but a new heart under it.

One step today, Lord. Then another tomorrow. Walk them with me.

When to Pray This

Pray this on January 1st — or on any ordinary Tuesday when you need to start over. Fresh starts with God are not limited to new years; His mercies restart every morning.
