A Prayer for a Restless Heart

Lord, my heart is restless tonight, and I cannot even tell You why.

I have tried to settle it myself — with plans, with screens, with one more thing — and none of it holds.

You made this heart. You know it is restless until it rests in You.

So here it is, Lord. Still it. Loosen my grip, slow my breath, and let me be quiet in Your company, like a child leaning on someone trusted.

Amen.

When to Pray This

Pray this when you are fidgety and unsettled for no reason you can name — pacing the house, picking up your phone and putting it down. Pray it slowly. The slowness is part of the prayer.
