A Prayer for a Distant Friend

Lord, watch over my friend who is far away. The miles between us are long, but You are already there, in their kitchen, on their street, in the middle of their week.

Bless them where I can't. Keep them healthy, keep them safe, and put good people around them to do the things I would do if I were near.

Keep our friendship strong across the distance — through calls and letters and prayers like this one. And in Your kindness, Lord, bring us to the same table again.

When to Pray This

Pray this when a faraway friend crosses your mind — after seeing their name pop up, or on the anniversary of a goodbye. It is also a good prayer for friends separated by a move, a deployment, or a busy season of life.
