A Prayer for My Friends
Lord, thank You for my friends. Thank You for the ones who have known me forever and the ones You brought along later, right on time. Thank You for the ones who answer at midnight, who tell me the truth kindly, who make even the errands feel like company.
Bless each of them today — You know their names and everything they are carrying. Meet the need they haven't told anyone about. Encourage the one who is weary, steady the one who is anxious, and surprise the one who could use some good news.
Protect our friendships, Lord. Keep us honest, keep us loyal, and keep us laughing at the same old stories. Make me the kind of friend I am asking You to give — quick to show up, slow to judge, faithful in the hard seasons.
Thank You for not making us walk this life alone.
In Jesus' name, Amen.
When to Pray This
Pray this when your friends come to mind — after a good phone call, when scrolling past their photos, or on a quiet evening. Try naming each friend out loud as you pray; it turns a general blessing into a personal one.
A Verse to Hold On To
