A Prayer of Thanks for Friendship
Father, thank You for friendship. Thank You for the people who chose me — not because they had to, but because they wanted to, and who keep choosing me on my worst days.
Thank You for shared tables and long phone calls, for the friend who remembers what I said in March, for the one who shows up with a truck when I'm moving and with silence when I'm grieving.
I did nothing to deserve them. They are plain grace, Lord, wearing ordinary faces. Help me tell them so while I can.
Amen.
When to Pray This
Pray this after a visit that filled you up, or on a day when you realize how rich you are in people. Then send one friend a message telling them what they mean to you.
A Verse to Hold On To
"Two are better than one; because they have a good reward for their labour. For if they fall, the one will lift up his fellow." — Ecclesiastes 4:9–10 (KJV)
