A Prayer for My Husband at Work

Lord, right now my husband is at work, and I am here, thinking of him. So while he is busy, I will pray.

You know what today holds for him — the meetings, the deadlines, the small frustrations that pile up before lunch. Give him a clear head and steady hands. Give him patience with difficult people and courage for difficult conversations.

You know the pressure he carries and rarely mentions — the quiet math he does at night, the feeling that everyone is counting on him. Lift some of that weight, Father. Remind him that our family is held by You, not by his shoulders alone.

Let him be respected for his honesty, valued for his effort, and known as a man whose word is good. And at the end of the day, bring him home with enough left over — enough energy, enough humor, enough of himself — for the people who love him most.

Pray this mid-morning when you know his day is in full swing, or whenever he texts you something short and you can tell it's a hard one. It's a way of standing beside him from wherever you are.
