A Prayer for My Husband's Protection and Success

Father, I bring You my husband today. From the moment he walks out the door until the moment he walks back in, let Your hand be on him.

Protect his body — on the road, at his work, in every place I cannot see him and You always can. Protect his mind from discouragement and from the quiet lie that he is on his own. Protect his heart from anything that would pull him away from You, or from us.

And Lord, bless the work of his hands. You know how hard he tries, and how much of it goes unseen. Let his effort come to something. Open the right doors for him and gently close the wrong ones, even when neither of us understands at the time.

Give him favor with the people he answers to and kindness for the people who answer to him. Let him succeed without losing himself — keep his integrity worth more to him than any promotion or paycheck.

When he wins, give us the grace to thank You together. When he loses, let him come home to a wife who is proud of him anyway — and make me that wife, Lord, every single day.

And guard what matters most of all: his walk with You. A protected body and a successful career are small things next to a soul at peace. Keep him praying, keep him honest, keep him Yours.

Bring him home safe tonight. Bring him home safe every night. I trust You with him, because You love him even more than I do.
