A Prayer for Strength

Lord, I am tired in a way that sleep doesn't fix. I have been carrying this a long time, and today it feels heavier than I am strong. So I come to You, because You never grow weary.

Give me strength — not for the whole road, just for today. That is all I'm asking for. Strength to get up and do what must be done. Strength to be patient with the people I love. Strength to hope when hoping feels risky.

You give power to the faint. You promise that those who wait on You will renew their strength. Lord, I am waiting. Renew mine.

When my own strength runs out — and it will — let Yours begin where mine ends. Your grace is sufficient for me, and Your strength shows itself best in people this weak.

So take my tired heart and steady it. Take my heavy load and share it. And walk with me through this day, one honest step at a time.

In Jesus' name, Amen.

When to Pray This

Pray this on the mornings when getting up feels like a decision, or midday when your reserves run dry. It's written for seasons, not just moments — pray it as often as you need it.

A Verse to Hold On To

"But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint." — Isaiah 40:31 (KJV)
