A Goodnight Prayer for My Wife

Father, thank You for my wife, and for the ordinary miracle of ending one more day beside her.

She gave so much of herself today — most of it no one saw but You. So tonight, give something back to her: a quiet mind, a warm rest, sleep deep enough to mend the day.

Take her worries as she drifts off. Tomorrow's troubles can wait at the door; You'll be watching over both of us till morning.

In Jesus' name, Amen.

When to Pray This

Pray this as she's falling asleep, or whisper it over her once she has. Some husbands make it the last thing they do each night — a small, faithful habit she may never see, and God always does.
