A Prayer of Thanks for My Wife
Father, today I'm not asking for anything. I just want to say thank You for my wife.
Thank You for her laugh — the real one, the one she doesn't plan. Thank You for the way she remembers everyone's birthdays, everyone's worries, everyone's favorite anything. Thank You for her patience with me, which has been tested more than she lets on.
Thank You for the years behind us — the sweet ones, and honestly, Lord, the hard ones too, because that's where I learned who she is. Anyone can be lovely on a good day. She has been faithful on the bad ones.
I don't tell her enough. You know that; she probably knows it too. So help me say it out loud, and often — not just to You, but to her, while we have all these days together.
Of everything You've trusted me with, she is the treasure. Thank You, Father. Truly.
In Jesus' name, Amen.
When to Pray This
Pray this on an anniversary, after a hard season passes, or on any plain Tuesday when it hits you how much she matters. Then go tell her one specific thing from this prayer — out loud.
