God of wisdom, bless the men and women in that operating room.

Steady the surgeon's hands. Clear their mind of everything but the work before them. Give the nurses sharp eyes and gentle strength, and the whole team one purpose and easy trust in each other.

They have trained for years for this hour — thank You for every one of those years. Let their skill and Your mercy work together today.

And when the operation is over, renew them for the next patient, and bring them home safely to the people they love.
